National Flood Forum response to Queens speech

NATIONAL FLOOD FORUM RESPONSE TO QUEENS SPEECH
There is tangible relief from the National Flood Forum that the Queen's Speech included the long-awaited and much speculated Floods and Water Management Bill. NFF Chief Executive Mary Dhonau, who was personally briefed by the Floods Minister Huw Irranca-Davies said: “I am so pleased that the Floods Bill has made it into the Queen's Speech as there was so much speculation that it wouldn’t be included. However, we await the finer detail of what is actually being proposed. The parliamentary debate tomorrow (Thursday) may enlighten us further. But, it remains to be seen whether we can give the Bill a thumbs up from us or not."
