The FPA was formed in January 2002 to act as the trade body for the flood protection industry. The Association has been closely involved in the development of the testing facility at HR Wallingford for the Kitemark certification scheme.
The Flood Protection Association aims to promote best practice amongst its members;
to support and advise its members in the promotion and marketing of flood protection products;
to represent the interests of its membership in all issues concerning the development and use of flood protection products;
to encourage its members to obtain Kitemark certification for their products;
to work to improve standards within the industry.
